The FRENIC-LM3S drive by Mesi Elevator is specially optimized for modern passenger elevators. With its compact structure, advanced braking system, and built-in feedback circuit, it delivers high comfort, reliability, and energy efficiency.
The built-in full-capacity braking circuit eliminates the need for external resistors or additional braking modules, saving valuable panel space while reducing installation costs.
Moreover, the drive comes standard with an integrated PG feedback circuit, supporting sine-wave encoders (1Vpp) and serial encoders (EnDat 2.1, Biss-C). This enables highly accurate motor feedback, ensuring precise floor leveling and smooth ride performance.

Rescue Operations

The FRENIC-LM3S by Mesi Elevator ensures passenger safety even during power failures through its intelligent rescue operation function.
In case of a power outage, the drive can operate using either single-phase 200 V AC or battery-powered DC supply, enabling the elevator car to move to the nearest floor for a safe evacuation.
This function eliminates the risk of passengers being trapped inside and guarantees a controlled stop without external converters or complex wiring.
Compatible with both synchronous and induction motors, the LM3S supports 200 V AC for drives up to 15 kW and 24 V / 48 V DC for larger capacities.

Customizable Logic Functions and Flexible Development Environment

The FRENIC-LM3S by Mesi Elevator integrates a built-in programmable logic controller (PLC), enabling engineers to create custom control logic directly inside the drive — no external PLC required.

With over 50 pre-defined function blocks (timers, counters, logic, arithmetic, comparators, etc.), the system allows full customization of elevator control behavior, such as door operation, speed stages, and regenerative braking logic.
The configuration and programming are done using the FRENIC Loader4 PC software, which provides a drag-and-drop interface, real-time monitoring, and error diagnostics for faster, safer commissioning.
This combination results in simpler panels, lower cost, and higher flexibility.
With FRENIC-LM3S, every elevator becomes a smart system.

Improved AC Drive Control Performance

The FRENIC-LM3S by Mesi Elevator offers enhanced motion precision through advanced control algorithms and fast current response.

With a current response frequency of 500 Hz, the drive ensures accurate motor feedback even at very low speeds, providing smooth, stable motion during start and stop operations.
The optimized control reduces return movement at startup, improving ride comfort and ensuring quiet, vibration-free operation.
Thanks to sine-wave encoder support and incremental signal detection, the system achieves high-level load balancing accuracy and precise floor leveling in multi-floor installations.

Compatible with both synchronous and induction motors, the drive utilizes high-speed vector control to deliver precise torque management and efficient motion control.
It supports sine-wave encoders (1Vpp) and serial encoders (EnDat2.1, Biss-C) as standard, providing smooth operation and accurate floor positioning.
In V/F control mode, the dynamic torque vector ensures stable performance even under varying loads.
With the optional PG interface card (OPC-LM-PG3), the drive can also support pulse-based feedback systems, expanding compatibility with different motor brands.
